Be A.L.E.R.T. and Be A.W.A.R.E. Enteral Nutrition Safety Campaign Posters
Dear DNS Members,
As part of our ongoing initiatives to improve enteral safety and translate the Enteral Nutrition Practice Recommendations to the bedside, the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (A.S.P.E.N.) is excited to announce the launch of the Be A.L.E.R.T. and Be A.W.A.R.E. campaign.
This A.S.P.E.N. safety program, in partnership with Nestlé HealthCare Nutrition, is aimed at educating nurses to help improve enteral nutrition safety and deliver medications appropriately via enteral feeding tubes. We have developed posters for nursing stations and other prominent places in institutions which have been distributed nationwide. The following posters are designed to increase awareness of simple steps needs to increase patient safety among professionals who deliver enteral nutrition in order to decrease complications and properly administer medications.
