Many DNS members tell us they have fantastic research questions but no funding to see their question through to publication.

DNS has a $10,000 research grant available for members. The application process is easy! Here's what you have to do:

  • Be a DNS member
  • Develop your application packet (documents are attached here for easy downloading)
  • Successfully compete in a peer-review process

The deadline for receipt of applications for the DNS Research Award has been extended to Friday, May 14, 2010!

In order to be considered for this grant opportunity, please submit your application documents electronically in PDF format by sending an e-mail with attachments to Beth Labrador at the ADA Foundation:  BLabrador@eatright.org NO LATER THAN 5 PM CST on Friday, May 14, 2010.

Information regarding the grant and application forms can be obtained from the website after login as a member at www.dnsdpg.org via the Research Chair's web page.  The awardee will be notified by June 15 and the check transmitted by July 1.

Please contact Carrie Earthman (Research Chair) at cearthma@umn.edu or Beth Labrador (ADAF) at BLabrador@eatright.org with questions.  Members of the DNS Research Committee can't wait to see your application!

Wow! What a great opportunity for RD researchers!
