Review Smartphone Apps for the Journal!

Do you own a smartphone, such as an iPhone, Blackberry, or Droid?  Are you familiar with the wide variety of food and nutrition apps developed for these and other similar phones?  Would you like to share your opinion with your fellow ADA members?  If so, you’re the perfect candidate to join the Journal’s new smartphone app reviewer pool.  Beginning in January of 2011, the Journal’s New in Review column will feature the new Apps in Review section, which will provide Journal readers with information on food and nutrition–related smartphone apps designed for both dietetics practitioners and consumers—but first we need a group of tech-savvy RDs to serve as reviewers. 

That’s where you come in.  We’re looking for 10-12 reviewers with a wide variety of different smartphones, and qualified candidates will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.  If you’re interested in joining our pool of reviewers, please contact Journal editor Ryan Lipscomb at rlipscomb@eatright.org.  Provide your name, contact information, the type of phone you own, and a brief description of your familiarity with smartphone apps.
