Public Policy Updates

Save the Date: ADA's next Public Policy Workshop is February 6-8, 2011 in Washington DC.

The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America is sponsoring the IBD Research and Awareness Act introduced into Congress on May 6th. H.R. 2275 and S. 981. The bill currently has 140 co sponsors. The legislation would advocate for:

- Expanding research on IBD (inflammatory bowel disease)

- Authorize, for 5 years, an IBD Epidemiology Program

- Authorize a pediatric IBD patient registry

- Authorize an IBD awareness program

If interested, contact your members of Congress to ask them to support this Bill or ask your patients with IBD who are dependent on home nutrition support to share their story with members of Congress.
