Friends and Colleagues:
I have been selected to be on the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) 2013 Council Slate of Candidates for an “At-Large” seat. This is very exciting not only for me, but the dietetic profession as well. The ball was started in motion after DNS member Ainsley Malone nominated me to be considered for the ballot – Thanks Ainsley!
If you are passionate about decreasing type II Diabetes in our country - consider becoming a part of this important effort!
Congratulations to Stephanie Dobak, RD, LDN, CNSC and Patricia Esposito, MS, RD, CD-N recipients of the DNS Professional Development Scholarship. Stephanie is a clinical dietitian at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where she covers the neurology ICU, medical/surgical wards, and rehabilitation unit. Patricia is a neonatal nutritionist at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, CT. Both are planning to use their scholarship funds to attend A.S.P.E.N.'s 2013 Clinical Nutrition Week in Phoenix. We look forward to hearing their reports after they attend this meeting.
