Diversity Leaders Program
If you are an active ADA member from an underrepresented group, consider applying for the Diversity Leaders Program. Four new members of the Diversity Leaders Program will be selected this year.
Applications are due June 6, 2011
Participation in the Diversity Leaders Program includes a variety of funded leadership experiences including:
- ADA's annual conference (FNCE)
- Public policy programs
- An educational visit to ADA headquarters.
Diversity Leaders Program members are also provided a mentor to guide and explain the Association's programs and services and to build supportive professional relationships throughout the year.
2011 American Dietetic Association Future Connections - Summit
Hello DNS Members!
The 2011 ADA Future Connections - Summit on Dietetics Practice, Credentialing and Education was held March 24-26, 2011. In addition to over 100 virtual participants, there were active participants who assembled together in 7 regions around the USA for the Summit. Our very own Gail Cresci was featured as a Trailblazer and she gave an incredibly inspiring presentation during the summit about how she was the first RD to begin placing feeding tubes!

Announcing the HIV/AIDS Evidence-Based Nutrition Practice Guideline!
Announcing the HIV/AIDS Evidence-Based Nutrition Practice Guideline! This new guideline contains systematically developed recommendations, based on scientific evidence, and is designed to assist practitioners on the appropriate nutrition care for individuals with HIV/AIDS. Among the guideline's 19 recommendations, are Caloric Needs, Macronutrient Composition, Vitamin and Mineral Supplementation, Treatment of Diarrhea/Malabsorption, and Education on Food and Water Safety.
