Want to attend a CE program or take a post  graduate class but short on funds?  DNS offers 2 scholarships (one for $1250 and another for $1000)this fall that can supplement your out of pocket cost.  For information about the scholarship, contact the Nominating Committee Associate at Renee.Walker2@va.gov.

The Nominating Committee is pleased to announce Melissa Francik as the winner of the $500 Spring Student Scholarship. Ms. Francik is currently a dietetic intern at the Michael E. DeBakey Veteran Affairs Medical Center. She will be utilizing the funds to attend 2011 FNCE in which She hopes to learn more about the exciting field of nutrition support. Congratulations Melissa!

The DNS Nominating Committee is pleased to announce the following two winners of the Spring 2011 Professional Development Scholarship:

Sandra Austhof MS, RD, LD, CNSD received the first place $1,250 award to attend ASPEN's Clinical Nutrition Week in Orlando, FL in January 2012

Elizabeth Pash Penniman MS, RD, LD received the second place $1,000 award to attend ADA's FNCE in San Diego, CA in September 2011

Congratulations Sandra and Elizabeth!  We are all looking forward to hearing about your great clinical and networking experiences.
