Chair-Elect
Gail A Cresci, CNSD LD PhD RD

Cleveland Clinic Foundation
Wow I can't believe it is already half-way through my year as DNS Chair-Elect! So far the experience has been fabulous due to all the energy amongst the Executive Committee and Coordinating Cabinet Committees. It is a great time to be a member and involved in DNS. We are working on very exciting projects that will move the nutrition support dietitan to the next level of practice.
If you would like to get more involved with DNS, please do not hesitate to contact me or another member of the executive committee. With all the projects going on, there is certainly a nice fit for you.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Warm regards,
Gail Cresci, PhD, RD
ADA Coding and Coverage Group Needs Your Help!

2009 Symposium Update
I can hardly believe June has arrived and I am now the official Chair- Elect for DNS. We have just concluded the DNS symposium. I am sitting in my hotel room in Seattle writing you this message. As you probably have already heard-- it was a great success. I especially enjoyed hearing from Dr. Lingtak- Neander Chan's presentation on antioxidant use in the Critical Ill as well as Beth Taylor and Ainsly Malone's presentation on using Evidence Based Guidelines in practice. All the presentaitons were great and offered pragmatic and applicable information to help RDs with improving and growing their skill sets for practice.

As you all know, we’re in the midst of some pretty challenging economic times. Undoubtedly, both ADA and DNS budgets are feeling it. As chair-elect, I would love to hear from you about what products and services you’d like us to focus on in the next year or two.
