DNS is excited to introduce...

Introducing a carefully crafted, innovative educational experience for dietitians who are seeking to enhance their existing nutrition support practices with adult patients. The INSPiRE (Improving Nutrition Support Practices via Resources and Education) program focuses on advanced-level nutrition support topics. Each source is expert-led and engaging while maintaining DNS' well-known standard of presenting current, evidenced-based content that is relative to your daily clinical practice.
What is the purpose of INSPiRE?
INSPiRE aims to:
- Bolster dietitian confidence about nutrition support practices through knowledge acquisition, skill development, and critical thinking
- Empower dietitians to provide evidence-based solutions in complex situations for adult patients requiring nutrition support
- Foster proactive participation of dietitians as members of the medical team to ultimately enhance patient care
- Encourage incorporation of skills (learned from INSPiRE) into daily patient-care experience as a means of continual growth and development
Who should consider participating in this program?
If you look with adult patients and are interested in transforming knowledge into practical bedside application while expanding your existing foundational skills, this program was developed with you in mind! Although anyone can participate, it is highly recommended that dietitians have more than an introductory level of experience (at least 1-2 years) in nutrition support dietetics practices, as the curriculum does not spend time of introductory concepts.
How is this program unique? What's the big deal?
This program is unique in several ways! Unlike a standard webinar where audience members are passive participants, INSPiRE offers extensive opportunities for engagement and interaction. A typical course includes:
- Complex concepts presented in smaller, more manageable segments to enhance participant processing and learning retention
- Multimedia enhanced content, including: videos, audio clips, images, and instructive demonstrations
- Knowledge checks with robust explanations to improve comprehension
- Participation in real-work case study scenarios to practice application of concepts
- "Mentor Moments" - advise and guidance by experts in the field to provide in-depth rationale about the factors affecting decision making
- Fully integrated and downloadable resources that compliment course topics
- Pre-built worksheets to help learners synthesize important concepts
- "Mindful Moments" - interactive activities developed to encourage participants' critical thinking, self-exploration and reflection, as well as practical application in real-life situations which can be done with a mentor, supervisor, or colleague
This program is 100% asynchronous which affords learners an immense ability to be flexible with their own learning. It will be available online 24/7 with content indexing for easy rewatching and unlimited review to make earning continuing education credits as easy as possible.
