Educational Opportunities:
- FREE Subscription to Support Line- a bi-monthly, peer-reviewed publication that features reviews of current topics in nutrition support including critical care, research, pediatrics, transplant, gastroenterology and home care. 3 CPE credits are offered with each issue. Online access to all back issues is available.
- Skills Workshops can train you on feeding tube placement, performing nutrition-focused physical examination, and enhance skills in implementing the Nutrition Care Process
- DNS-Sponsored Symposium can help improve your professional practice using practical application of evidence-based nutrition support
- Webinars are offered 6 times per year with CE credits.
- Writer’s Mentoring Program will connect you with an experienced author to guide you through the writing process as you prepare an article for publication.
- Career Mentoring Program connects seasoned members with novice practitioners to help you advance your clinical, leadership or management skills.
- Discounted materials via the DNS store
- Professional Development Grants are awarded each spring (4) and fall (4) in the amount of $1000. This is an easy way for members to obtain funds for a CE conference, workshop, or post-graduate course.
- Student Scholarships are awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student to promote his/her education with a $500 award plus complimentary registration to FNCE.
- DNS Research Grant for $10,000 is available annually to support a member’s research study.
- DNS Distinguished Service Award and Distinguished Practice Award are given each year to members who exemplify leadership and clinical practice knowledge and skills.
- Speaker’s Bureau is a tool used by conference planners and industry sponsors to enlist potential speakers on a variety of topics. This is a great opportunity to promote yourself and share your knowledge with others.
- The Forum is an on-line community where members post clinical questions and receive feedback from other members.
- Volunteer opportunities with DNS projects and committees are a great way to network and enhance your professional skills.
